Sebastiano Impellizzeri

Born in Catania in 1982. Lives and works in Turin.
Studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino and the Accademia Albertina in Turin.

Sebastiano Impellizzeri’s practice explores the language of painting through different materials and media, drawing on art history, memory and the ways images are transmitted and transformed. Colour and light are central to his research, which extends into urban space through solitary walks and actions. His works bring together image and experience, exploring ritual, desire and adventure.
