Displacement is an essential part of Ivan Grilo’s artistic process. Many of his works emerge from field experiences, during which he collects stories through images, documents, and oral accounts. These materials develop into works that shed light on episodes long forgotten or overlooked by history and memory.
His practice spans a variety of media, often combining several elements: metal plates bearing written texts, sculptures, small objects, and photographs.
